2.5 hours to the heart of Yosemite Valley over Tioga Pass. Beautiful Tuolome Meadows is only about 45 minutes away. Visit Tenaya Lake and Olmstead Point along the way! (Be sure and stop at the Tioga Gas Mart & Restaurant. You'll be pleasantly surprised!!)
This special ecological area is home to the famous Tufa formations, an enormous migrant bird poplulation, and miles of lakeshore to explore. You can even book a guided canoe trip out on the lake!

Walk the old streets and peer into the saloons, churches, shops and homes of this late 1800's gold rush town.
Up towards the entrance to Yosemite, take a right on Saddle Bag Lake Rd. Once at the lodge, you can take a boat across the lake to access some of the best high sierra hiking in the area.
There are several hotsprings located within a few miles of Mammoth down the 395. Exit Benton Crossing Road (aka Green Church Rd) and head east about 2.5 miles.
